The “Vocational Training for 300 Women in Zamfara State” project is currently in the preparatory stage and has not yet commenced implementation due to the absence of funding. As of this reporting period, no donations have been received toward the $1,500 fundraising target, leaving the full amount still required to begin project activities.
Because funds have not yet been secured, vocational training sessions, procurement of business startup kits, and beneficiary onboarding activities have not started. However, the project team has continued preliminary planning efforts, including community consultations, identification of vulnerable women who will benefit from the program, and assessment of the resources required for effective implementation once funding becomes available.
Financial support remains the project’s most urgent need, as the success of the initiative depends entirely on the availability of resources to cover training materials, equipment, starter kits, logistics, and facilitation costs. Fundraising and donor engagement efforts are ongoing, with the aim of securing the necessary support to launch the program as soon as possible.
The project remains highly relevant and urgently needed within the target communities, where many women affected by conflict continue to face severe economic hardship. Once funded, the initiative is expected to equip 300 women with vocational skills, financial literacy, and business startup support that will enable them to generate sustainable income and improve the wellbeing of their families.
