First of all we extend our sincere thanks to Global Giving and the donors. As said "From Humble Beginnings come Great Things", it is such a moment for us at Buds of Christ in this project on vocational project. Bala, an orphan boy from a poor background equipped himself with computer skills at Buds of Christ, he also received a FREE LAPTOP from a Government program and improved his skills by constantly using the computer.
Now he has become one of the peer trainer at Buds of Christ, in teaching other girls and boys accessing Buds of Christ center during week ends to upgrade their skills on computers. Many children have now shown interest to learn computers as most of them have not even touched computers in their life.
With the support of generous donations from donors of Global Giving, Buds of Christ has put in place 3 computers and laptops for children to learn and master basic computer skills. Children learn Word, Power Point, Internet, Email, Photo Copying and Editing, downloading and copying songs to their mobile phones and so on. Every time the young people learn something new, they are encouraged to share the skills with others.
Thank you dear donors, with out you it would not be possible to develop orphan children like Bala to empower other children.
