Mundo de Talentos supports the personal and vocational development of children and adolescents in Chiapas, Oaxaca and Nuevo León by strengthening their self-esteem, fostering their sense of belonging in society, and promoting values such as gender equality. MdT aims to establish itself as a support network that enables children and adolescents to make informed decisions about their future.
We offer a two-year vocational guidance program on Saturdays to public school going children from 9 to 12 years old. After participating in the program for two years, the students graduate from MdT and continue their additional education through monthly sessions at the alumni project. The Alumni Project ensures continuity for students who graduate from the basic program, allowing them to continue learning and developing in a proactive and self-directed manner within MdT.
Opening third branch in Monterrey, Nuevo León
On May 17 we celebrated the opening of our third Mundo de Talentos branch in the northern Mexican state Nuevo León. This exciting new step is made possible with the trust and financial support of the Foudation Deacero of the Mexican company Deacero (MTY) that primarily focuses on the production, sale, and distribution of steel products.
Fourty children of different primary public schools were able to start in the first year of the basic Mundo de Talentos program. In January 2026, a second group of fourty children will be invited to participate. From then on, this new branch will be complete with 80 active students.
To be able to operate from Monterrey we welcomed two new very competent colleagues to our team. An educational coordinator and an educator. New local alliances are already established. During the closing session before summer holidays, they organized an excursion to the beautiful interactive children’s museum Papalote in the center of Monterrey.
We are proud that Mundo de Talentos is expanding to a new part of the country and excited to be able to offer our program to more children in Mexico.
New website
During the past months the communication team of Mundo de Talentos has been working hard on the renewal of its website. A new page has been launched with a beautiful new image. This project would not have been possible without the incredible support of the in Mexico City based Guerbet employee, Samantha Roa, who was able to offer her services on an in-kind base. Interns Universities Chiapas and Oaxaca
Since several years, Mundo de Talentos established collaborations with Universities in San Cristóbal de Las Casas, Chiapas and Oaxaca de Juárez, Oaxaca. Students from Educational Science and Pedagogy studies fulfill their internships and social services with us.
These are valuable collaborations where students get to develop personal and professional skills in practice and where our operational teams experience a great support during the implementation of its activities during the Saturday sessions. At the end of July, we had to say goodbye to various students who will continue their study. Great connections had been made over the past months, so saying goodbye wasn’t easy. We hope to be able to welcome these young people again soon in our project!
