A Promising Future for Children In Medellin

At present, the Vidas con Sentido program serves 95 enrolled adolescents and young people, who continue to participate in a comprehensive support model designed to strengthen their skills, wellbeing, and personal development.

During this reporting period, we introduced new experiences and activities that complement our ongoing accompaniment process. Participants enjoyed an educational visit to the Planetarium, creating opportunities for learning, exploration, and enjoyment beyond their usual environments. We also organized a recreational vacation week, featuring recreational and team-building activities that helped strengthen social bonds and promote the positive use of free time.

Our regular program activities continued throughout the period, including karate classes, dance workshops, creative communications workshops, and English lessons. In addition, every two weeks participants attended a painting workshop led by a volunteer, providing new opportunities for artistic expression and creativity.

The psychosocial component remains a cornerstone of the program. Through both individual and group support sessions, we continue helping participants strengthen their personal, emotional, and family resources. During this period, we delivered workshops focused on anger management, microaggressions and everyday violence, and emotional regulation. These sessions provided practical tools for recognizing and expressing emotions, building healthier and more respectful relationships, and responding constructively to challenges encountered in daily life.

Through this combination of educational activities, recreation, artistic expression, and psychosocial support, Vidas con Sentido continues to consolidate its role as a holistic development program that empowers adolescents and young people to build life skills, strengthen resilience, and envision positive pathways for their future.
