Dear Supporters,
The dry season is finished and the rainy season where all agricultural activities is conducted in northern Ethiopia has arrived. Rural people are planning to plant and take care of their annual crops. Our project is also beneficiary of the rainy season. The three cycles of planting the apple trees were conducted during the rainy season. The technology of using the buried clay pots for irrigation was very useful to support the precipitation needs of the fruit trees during the dry season. It has worked so far and many new members of the community are demanding to be included in the project.
Our plan for the rainy season is to mobilize resoruces so that those that were not included in the initial intervention would get the opportunity to own their fruit trees. Many young people are sending message that they need to get their fruit trees.
That is what we plan to do. We hope that you would continue your support so that we can buy the seedlings and distribute them to those who were missed during the first three cycles of seedling distribution.
Again thank you for your support. Best wishes for a peacefull and happy summer.
