Talk about peace continues but nothing in practice
By Tsegay Wolde-Georgis | Project Leader
Dear Partners and supporters,
Thank you very much for being with us and for supporting our project. We have not made any progress to continue our activities in the Atebes victory gardens project. The only information we had was that Eritrean and Ethiopian soldiers reached the area and took some domestic animals without paying anything. We have not heard about the state of the fruit trees. Fortunately, the houses of the farmers are dispersed and it is difficult to reach them. In general, we hear that the rainy season is very good and if it continues up to September food production will not be affected because of moisture. Only the lack of selected seeds as well as fertilizers will be the problem.
If we hear good news about the project we will share it in the next report. In the meantime please continue to contact your representatives so that the people of Tigray can be supported and peace be brought to the region.
May there be peace and prosperity for all.
Best regards,
Tsegay

Hoping for peace in the project area of Tigray
By Tsegay Wolde-Georgis | Project Leader
Dear supporters,
I hope all is well with you during the new year. The war in the project region of Tigray that I reported several times continues. There is no communication and humanitarian disaster is being feared as the region continues to be blocked. No phone, no land, and air communication. Humanitarian aid is not arriving and there are fears by international humanitarian organizations that there could be a humanitarian disaster
Please tell your political representatives to do something about it.
Thank you all for your continued support. I hope and wish that there is peace in Tigray and share and report some good project news in the future.
regards
Tsegay

The civil war continues to affect our project
By Tsegay Wolde-Georgis | Project Leader
Dear Supporters and contributors
I hope all is well with you and your loved ones during these holiday months. The war that started in Tigray where our project is located passed its 12 months mark recently. Thousands of people are displaced and their livilihood destroyed. The Region of Tigray where our project village is concerned is literlly blocked from the outside world. I have never talked directly to any one in the village since the beginning of the conflict. There are no air or road transportaiton, no bank services, no phone services, no power services from the national grid and no trade between Tigray and its neighboring people. I am sorry but I can't tell you any good news from the village.
There are some international activities to bring a ceasefire between the Ethiopian central government and the regional state of Tigray. It is our hope that this will be realized so that we can jump into the projet and work hard for a lost time.
I am sorry for not bringing good news but the people in the project villager will appreciate if you reach out to your natonal representatives and ask them to do something to stop the conflict.
It is my hope that I will bring some good news that heralds peace and development in my next report.
God bless and happy holidays to you and your loved ones!
