The Veterinary Care for 500 Livestock in Kano project is currently in the early fundraising stage, with the primary focus remaining on mobilizing the financial resources required to begin full implementation. The project has a fundraising target of $3,400, while $1 has been raised so far, leaving $3,399 outstanding. The project has received three donations, demonstrating initial donor interest, but substantially more support is needed to reach the target.
Funds raised will support essential veterinary services for livestock, including deworming and parasite control, vaccinations, treatment and medication for sick animals, preventive care, veterinary supplies, and community outreach visits. The project also aims to help protect farmers' livelihoods by reducing livestock losses and improving animal health and productivity. Current efforts are therefore centered on increasing awareness, engaging potential donors, and securing sufficient funding to commence veterinary interventions for the targeted 500 livestock. Continued financial support remains critical to moving the project from the fundraising stage into active field implementation.
