In Venezuela, many people who own dogs can't afford pet food because it's very expensive compariing to their salary. They have no other option besides abandoning their pets. This is where SAI-A&G sanctuary saves the day by rescuing the dogs abandoned on the streets.
Medical Care: Spaying & Neutering
When dogs come to the animal shelter they are examined by a veterinarian to determine the health of the dogs. Then, the vet places the dogs in one of these categories: healthy dogs, moderately injured dogs and severely injured dogs. The veterinarian provides the needed medical treatment that the dogs require.
After a health examination, dogs get vaccinated. Then, they receive a warm bath, followed by a healthy meal. Dogs who need to be spayed are scheduled for surgery one week after their arrival.
SAI Deliver Dog Food to Dog Refuges & Sanctuaries
We delivered over 5,687 lbs of dog food from January to May.
We provide support for 164 dogs at 9 different shelters. In the SAI-A&G sanctuary, we provide safety, shelter, food, medical services, and spaying to over 45 dogs.
Thank you for being part of the SAI family!
