The Vaccination Drive for 500 Children in Kano is currently ongoing, with awareness and community sensitization activities actively being carried out across targeted rural communities.
Financially, the project has so far received support from 3 donors, raising $30 out of the $10,000 target, with $9,970 still needed to fully implement the initiative. The funds raised are being carefully managed to support early-stage activities such as community mobilization, transportation logistics, awareness materials, and coordination with local health workers. Additional funding remains critical to procure vaccines, maintain solar-powered cold-chain storage, deploy mobile medical teams, and reach vulnerable “zero-dose” children in remote areas of Kano.
Despite funding challenges, community response has been encouraging, with many families expressing willingness to have their children vaccinated once services arrive in their villages. Continued donor support will play a vital role in helping the project move from awareness into large-scale vaccine delivery and lifesaving immunization coverage.
