This September PridenoShame founder Graziella Zanoletti visited Kigali and met current and potential partners. We believe that people and organisations with the same values can create fruitful collaboration by joining forces.
Rwanda Women’s Network
We keep working on developing the concept and content for hygiene training. Educate women, empower, help them to build better future for their children and families – this is what RWN team is working on every day in women spaces. Combining efforts with RWN team we will deliver two days training. Trained women will become ambassadors and will teach younger women to respect and protect their body. Learn how to avoid infections and not to be ashamed of nature to be a woman.
Young Women’s Cristian Association:
New inspiring partners for PridenoShame is Young Women’s Cristian Association. Empowering teen mothers, protecting them from violence, women spaces of YWCA are islands of safety where women can share problems, emotions and where they get psychological and informational support. Here what YWCA shared through the social media:
“We were thrilled to host the founder of Friends of Humanity, during her visit to our YWCA Rwanda HQ and Gahanga sector safe space. It was truly inspiring to witness the incredible work that our organization is doing to support adolescent teen mothers in their safe environments. Mrs. Graziella Zanoletti was deeply touched by the stories of these young women and left with a newfound appreciation for the transformative power of compassion and hard work.”
Maison Shalom
Being a longstanding partner, Maison Shalom, this year will support children of PridenoShame women employees to enter public school. Even as public schools are free in Rwanda there are still costs for food, uniform, stationaries etc. Sometimes these costs are enough to close the school door in front of the children refugee.
UZIMA pads currently produced with increased number of layers. Instead of double supe layer which made cutting difficult now we double airlaid and control central positioning of supe layer. This way we increased the leakage protection and kept the pad thin and comfortable. PridenoShame is developing but a lot has to be done in order to support hygiene needs of women refugee in Rwanda. We kindly invite you dear donors to contribute, let’s help women refugee feel pride of being a woman, not shame!
