"The Digital Frontier: Escalation of Technology-Facilitated GBV
(TFGBV)
Perhaps the most terrifying finding of the recent study is the rapid escalation of Technology- Facilitated
Gender-Based Violence. As we move toward the 2027 cycle, the internet has
become a "lawless zone" for women in leadership. The report identifies several key trends:
Coordinated Character Assassination: The use of paid "bloggers" to spread deepfake
images and gendered disinformation.
Doxxing and Stalking: The malicious leaking of private home
addresses and children’s
school locations to force women into silence. The "Chilling Effect": This digital terror is driving young,
talented women away from
public service before they even begin, fearing the permanent stain of online vitriol. Demanding for protection of women from Technology based Gender based violence
