We are happy to share a positive outcome from this project.
DWAF created this GlobalGiving project to seek support for a deserving Deaf child who urgently needed a hearing aid but whose family was unable to afford the required device.
With the support generated around this case, including the generous assistance of an individual donor, DWAF was able to successfully arrange and provide the required hearing aid to the child.
For this child and his family, receiving the hearing device was much more than receiving a piece of equipment. It provided an important opportunity for improved access to sound, communication, learning and everyday interaction.
This successful case demonstrates what can be achieved when donors and organizations come together to respond to an individual child’s genuine need.
DWAF sincerely thanks GlobalGiving, our donors, and everyone who supported this initiative. Your trust enables us to continue identifying deserving Deaf children and individuals who need assistive devices but cannot afford them.
