Displacement, damaged infrastructure, and pharmacy closures leave families unable to find or afford essential treatment. Without medication, symptoms quickly worsen, leading to hospitalization and loss of dignity. With your support this project will deliver free dementia medicines to the most vulnerable across Ukraine, ensuring continuity of care and helping families protect their loved ones during war.
Ukraine is home to an estimated over 600,000 people living with dementia, many dependent on daily medication to prevent severe deterioration and extend their lives. Since the war began, access to treatment has collapsed. Sudden interruption of treatment can lead to rapid cognitive decline and institutionalization. At the same time, when caregivers are already under immense stress, they must choose between food, evacuation, or medication (the average pension in Ukraine is 150$).
This project will provide free, life-sustaining dementia medications to 1,000 people across Ukraine who are most affected by war, displacement, and poverty. Nezabutni will identify vulnerable patients, procure essential medicines, and coordinate safe distribution. Your donation will help ensure uninterrupted treatment - preventing crisis deterioration and reducing hospitalizations. Even a modest contribution can secure weeks of essential medication for a person in urgent need.
