It has almost been 2 years since the devastating earthquake hit Nepal. There is still a lot of work to be done to rebuild the lives of the people affected by this disaster.
We are still trying to help as many people as possible but luckily the demand for the transit home is decreasing now. That means there are less children in need of emergency assistance.
We have recently linked our wonderful three little brothers with their family. They only have grandparents and we supported the family by providing them with a sewing machine. Now, the grandfather has set up a small tailoring shop and is able to financially support the boys. The income is still not very high so we will continue supporting their education and keep monitoring the family to ensure they can provide for the children long term. But there is nothing better for them than to be with a loving family.
We have just also welcomed a trafficked girl to our home - these are always very sad stories. She has been with us for the past few weeks and getting love and care - and soon will be linked with a wonderful organisation assisting girls.
Our field worker has just made another monitoring visit to all the families that we have been supporting and many of the goats that we have given them are now having babies so a great start to them making a sustainable living.
All this has only been possible thanks to your support and it's great to see the fantastic results. Hopefully we can help more children and more families.
Thank you
