One of our core missions is evacuating animals from frontline areas in Ukraine. Last week, one of our evacuation vehicles in the Donetsk region was destroyed in a targeted drone attack. All team members and animals survived, but one dog was seriously injured. The loss of this vehicle has cut our rescue capacity in half. At the same time, winter is approaching, making evacuations even more urgent. We urgently need support to replace the vehicle and continue saving animals lives
Since the full-scale invasion began, the number of stray animals in Ukraine has surged, especially in frontline areas. Many animals are left unattended as owners evacuate or die during attacks. They face hunger, disease, uncontrolled breeding, and the threat of shelling. Recently, one of our evacuation vehicles was completely destroyed by a russian drone, halving our rescue capacity, while the second vehicle is at risk. A new vehicle is urgently needed.
Purchasing a new evacuation vehicle will restore and expand our rescue capacity, allowing us to continue evacuating all types of animals from dangerous frontline zones. The vehicle will enable our team to reach more animals in urgent need, ensuring they are moved to safe locations before further attacks or threats occur
One evacuation vehicle can perform up to 4-5 missions per month to frontline areas. Each mission rescues between 1 large animal (e.g., a cow) or up to 50-60 small animals (pets, some birds). Over time, this will save thousands of animals, giving them a real chance to live safely. Animals are among the most vulnerable and cannot ask for help, so each mission directly protects innocent lives from hunger, disease, and the dangers of war.
