Over the last three months, your support has empowered Human Rights First Rwanda Association (HRFRA) to take a major step forward in protecting LGBTQI+ rights. With your help, we submitted a powerful report to the United Nations Human Rights Committee ahead of Rwanda’s upcoming review under the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR).
What We Did With Your Support:
We documented human rights violations against LGBTQI+ people.
We highlighted key issues such as:
Barriers to LGBTQI+ NGO registration,
Lack of transgender legal recognition,
No anti-discrimination laws for sexual orientation and gender identity,
Limited access to inclusive healthcare.
We called for urgent legal reforms to protect LGBTQI+ people in Rwanda.
This submission was only possible because of you. Your donations gave LGBTQI+ communities a platform to be heard on the global stage.
Help Us Keep Going
We still need your help to push for change. Your continued support will help us:
Train LGBTQI+ organizations in advocacy,
Engage policymakers for reform,
Protect vulnerable voices.
