With your support, we were able to expand our scholarship project this year and offer full or partial scholarships to 166 students at 11 universities in the West Bank and Gaza!
They are an amazing group of smart and talented Palestinian students pursuing their degrees in everything from medicine to law from midwifery to engineering.
Nora comes from a large family. Thanks to a scholarship from MECA, she started her freshman year at An-Najah University in Nablus. Here's what she has to say:
"I was born in El Fara Refugee Camp but my family is originally from Um Al Zinat village near Haifa. I studied at the schools in the refugee camp and I graduated at the top of my class in high school. It has been my dream since I was little to study law. I hope to become a lawyer and to defend the oppressed."
