Jacob headed back to university last week for what we hope will be his last semester. That is awaiting confirmation provided the coursework missed during the Covid 19 closure of the university can be caught up with. All being well, with no further delays or lockdowns, Jacob will complete his final exams in the near future and we expect him to do very well based on his consistent good grades.
Jacob spent his Christmas holiday with family and friends in Kitale. Having lost most of his immediate family, he is fortunate to still have relatives and community that he feels at home in and this is a testament to CRK's successful reintegration program for street children. We are glad that when he leaves university he will have a base to call home no matter where his future career prospects may take him. The support of family and community are so important to all of us.
Thank you for helping support Jacob and taking away the stress of worrying whether he could raise sufficient support to complete his degree.
Happy new year to you all from Jacob!
Abel, who graduated last year, is currently job hunting while also pursuing a driving course to get his licence which may be a necessity to pursue a career in agriculture. We wish him all the best with that! And thank you for getting him this far!
Happy new year to you all from Abel!
