The start of training was postponed for several months due to instability and travel restrictions around Covid. Given improvements in public health and security, the project team is planning for the instructors to travel to Cap-Haitien in the summer to meet with partners and assess training needs in person. While in Haiti, the instructors will also facilitate the transfer of ultrasound equipment to participating health facilities.
The project team used the preceding months to plan, organize resources, and establish a monitoring and evaluation framework for the project. They also conducted virtual meetings and assessments of the participating sites and trainees. Having accomplished as much as possible remotely, they are eager to officially launch the project.
