Your Impact: Aid Delivered to Kharkiv

By Natalie Blinder | Founder

Dear Donors,

We are deeply grateful for your continued support, which allows us to provide essential assistance to families facing unimaginable hardship.

In February, thanks to your generosity, we purchased and delivered critical supplies worth USD 1,367 for vulnerable families with young children from the Kharkiv region—one of the areas most heavily affected by the ongoing war and located close to the contact line. These essentials included cereals, sugar, flour, pasta, dried milk mixtures, baby formula (including specialised nutrition such as Nutrilon), nappies, and wet wipes.

Your contributions directly supported internally displaced families who are struggling to meet even their most basic needs. Many of these families have lost stable incomes, homes, and access to healthcare, while continuing to care for infants and young children.

We would like to share a few stories and words of gratitude from the families you have helped:

The family of 1.5-year-old Arina A., now displaced from the Kharkiv region, are living in a rented flat while facing severe financial strain. The father, a serviceman, was seriously injured and has been undergoing rehabilitation for over six months. He is now disabled and requires costly medication. The mother, currently on maternity leave and also managing a chronic illness, cares for their young children on a very limited income—most of which goes towards rent, utilities, and medical expenses. With no additional support system, your help has become a lifeline in their daily struggle to provide for their family.

The family of little Bohdan K. from Kharkiv shared:
“I want to express my huge and sincere gratitude for the help provided. It is very heartwarming to know that there are people you can turn to and rely on in a difficult moment. I am very grateful to you.”

Daria’s family wrote:
“Thank you for helping people and young children in such a difficult time for the country!”

Another mother shared how your support changed her situation:
“Today we received help. This is food for my daughter, Alisa. Due to her health issues, she needs this particular formula—it is quite expensive and very difficult to find. Today we realised that our baby is provided with food for two whole months! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!”

These stories are just a glimpse of the real impact your generosity has made. Because of you, children have access to proper nutrition, families can redirect scarce resources towards urgent medical needs, and parents feel a sense of hope and support during one of the most challenging times in their lives.

Thank you for standing with these families and making a meaningful difference. Your compassion brings not only essential aid, but also dignity and hope.

With sincere gratitude,
Bright Kids Charity
