Udayan Ghar Programme
Udayan Care had set up its first Udayan Ghar (Home) for children in 1996 and created its own model of LIFE: Living in Family Environment. This model enables erstwhile children in need of Care & Protection in to grow in a loving family environment. In these homes, the children are loved and cared for by a group of Mentor Parents-socially committed individuals (volunteers) who groom the children with a team of Coordinators at homes, along with resident Care Givers, Supervisors, & Volunteers.
These homes are located in busy, middle class neighborhoods, so children can reintegrate themselves into society through direct community involvement which helps mainstreaming the children ahead. Our children and young adults are receiving quality education in some of the best educational institutions such as: The Sagar School at Tijara, Alwar, Mata Bhagwati school, Genesis Global school, Tagore International School, East of Kailash, Banyan Tree School, Global Indian International School etc and colleges/ universities like College of Vocational Studies, University of Delhi, Hi- Tech Institute of Engineering, Ghaziabad, Punjab University, Lingaya’s University etc.
Since inception Udayan Ghars have nurtured over 588 children with love, care and protection in 13 Homes across 4 states of India. Presently, there are 168 children across all homes. 33 of our young adults are also been supported through our After Care Programme.

The achievements and awards are a never ending process for Udayan Famiy:
Success Story
Bhushan ( Name Changed) is great source of inspiration for all of us. Being diagnosed with mild retardation and IQ of 50 he proved himself to be an unstoppable child. 8 years ago when the child was referred to Udayan Care he was extremely in need of care and protection. He had partial paralysis towards the right side of his body the traces of which are still visible.
Under extensive care & protection gradual and noticeable changes took place in the physical and mental growth and development in the child. As per his intellectual ability the child was enrolled in a special school, Khushboo Welfare Society where he is learning etiquettes & mannerisms to cope up with the world outside. He is very famous and known for his leadership ability at his School. He is extremely helpful and cheerful in nature. As if that was not enough! Bhushan also made remarkable achievements by wining GOLD MEDAL in SPECIAL MARATHON from past two consecutive years. He has won BRONZE MEDAL in FLOOR HOCKEY at CHANDIGARH representing HARAYANA in SPECIAL OLYMPICS also. November 2015, he represented HARAYANA in SPECIAL CRICKET and won MAN OF THE MATCH AWARD. Soon, he will be going to Chhattisgarh as he is been shortlisted to represent Haryana in Special Cricket to be held in the month of March.
Our HERO – also got the opportunity to bear and run with the torch on 10th annual Adidas Group-Udayan Care Sports Day 2016.
A lot more is to come on the way.“He will succeed not immediately but definitely.”
Ravi ( Name Chnaged) is staying with Udayan Care past 4 years now. The child was diagnosed with Oppositional Defiant Disorder and is on continuous psychiatric medicine under Dr. Deepak Gupta. Research studies have proven that children living in alternate care are prone to more high risk behaviour than children living in normal families. Similarly, Ravi wasn’t an easy case. However, the determination of Ghar team; caregivers, supervisors, mentors and coordinator helped the child to channelize his energy and bring positive outcomes in the child.
There has been a consistently progressive improvement in the child. No wonder the child was recently given the title of Most Intelligent Child of the class. Not just in school but the child is a best performer at home as well. He is self-motivated person who is obedient and is aware of the repercussions of his decisions. Also, with time his behavioral issues have been reduced and he has also started performing wonderful in sports activities. Recently, he also got first prize in 200 meters race in school and 3rd prize in 10th Adidas Udayan Care sports day in again 200 meter race.
The child is grooming well and there is a surety that with full determination and perseverance the child will be an all rounder.
