By Cora Sayre | Project Leader
Dear Friend,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our initiative providing food, sanitation and hygiene materials and training to those affected by Typhoon Tembin. The situation in the area at present is starting to be back to normal with community residents rebuilding their lives and their livelihoods. The main crop in the area is banana and the hardest hit barrio was a trading post for bananas in the past. Now, the trading of bananas and other crops is slowly back and allied business like small eateries are sprouting again. This reporting period, we started a goat-based livelihood by breeding goats with high genetic purity in order to produce offspring that we will disperse later on. Our choice of goat breed is Anglo Nubian and Saanen for their meat and milk production quality. Our breeding area is located in Naawan municipality and at present we have 53 breeder goats.
Hoping for your continuing support.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora Sayre
