By Cora Sayre | Project Leader
Dear Friend,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your continuing support to our project providing food, sanitation and hygiene kits to families affected by Typhoon Vinta. The typhoon wrecked havoc to communities residing near rivers as flash flood brings water, stone boulders, mud and debris to houses killing hundreds of people, destroying houses and livelihoods. Communities near the river are usually thriving because of water availability and rich, fertile land. This reporting period we were able to link-up with an organization based in the US and access much-needed food packs from them. The food packs is intended for kids and consist of rice, soya, milk and vitamins. We are set to deliver them to the affected areas and targeting 450 poor families for distribution. This will be in conjunction with our latrine construction and hygiene kits distribution activities. To date, we have completed the construction of 53 latrines.
Again thank you very much for your generosity.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora
