Continuous vegetable harvest

Vegetable harvest

Dear Friend,

Warmest greetings for the Holiday Season and thank you very much for your kind donation to our project providing continuous supply of vegetables for food and income to Typhoon Haiyan survivors still living in temporary shelters. Some of the vegetables like pechay and radish mature very quickly and it is heartening to see families, men, women and children proud of their harvest. The harvest they use for their own table and the surplus they sell to neighbors. We continue to provide organic fertilizer and seeds to the beneficiaries. The organic fertilizer we ask for free from a nearby sugar central. This reporting period we are able to support 230 vegetable gardeners with various seeds comprising eggplant, tomato, squash, radish and pechay. We also provided them with 50 sacks organic fertilizer. Early next year we will launch a contest and will provide the winners with household utensils for their prizes.

Again, thank you very much and hoping that you will support us again.

With much gratitude,

Cora
