A Mother's Dream, A Business Built From Courage

By Hend Jarrar | Youth Entreprenuership Program Manager

Before becoming the proud owner of a thriving skincare center, Inas was a teacher working long hours to support her family in a society that often told women to “stay in their place.” Her first connection with Tomorrow’s Youth Organization (TYO) came when she joined as a local intern, teaching afternoon classes to young students. But deep down, she knew teaching wasn’t her true calling—it was simply a means of survival.

Inas always dreamed of something bigger: to build a business that was truly hers, to show her daughters that women can shape their own futures, even when the world says otherwise. But in a society where women’s dreams are often constrained by tradition, making that leap felt almost impossible.

Then, in 2022, everything changed. Inas took a bold step and enrolled in TYO’s Entrepreneurship Program, where she finally found the support, resources, and community she needed to bring her dream to life. Armed with just an idea and a heart full of hope, she had one clear vision: to start her own skincare business.

At first, even those closest to her doubted her. “You’re a mother,” they said. “Your daughters should come first. Start small—don’t think too big.” But Inas didn’t let those voices drown out her own. She stood firm in her belief:
“I can be a mom and a businesswoman at the same time.”

The road wasn’t easy. Although Inas completed the program, she didn’t win the initial grant to launch her business. Many would have given up—but not Inas. “I didn’t win the money,” she recalls, “but I won something greater: knowledge, confidence, and a roadmap.”

With unwavering determination, Inas continued building on the foundation the program gave her. She pursued additional training, earned diplomas in skincare, and tirelessly worked on her business idea—all while raising her daughters. Late nights, empty days with no clients, moments of doubt… she faced them all. But she never stopped.

Through it all, the consistent support from TYO and generous donors like you kept her going. Because of you, Inas was able to access programs that offered not only practical business training but also a support system that helped her believe in herself.

In 2025, after three years of hard work and grit, Inas proudly opened “Inas Beauty Center”, offering a range of beauty care services tailored to local women’s needs. Even more inspiring—she now employs a team of five women, creating job opportunities and providing mentorship to others walking the same path she once did.

But her journey didn’t stop there.

Inas joined the Skinnovation Project, an initiative under TYO’s Entrepreneurship Program that deepened her business knowledge and introduced her to the world of product creation. For the first time, Inas saw the possibility of crafting her own skincare line.

“Skinnovation opened my eyes to what’s possible,” she says. “I never thought I could make my own products. Now, I know I can.”

Today, Inas is applying for a new grant—not only to expand her business, but to show that when a woman is empowered, she uplifts others with her. Her dream is no longer just her own—it’s a torch she’s passing on to the next generation.

Inas says proudly,

“I am no longer just Inas, the mother struggling to survive. I am Inas, the successful businesswoman who is now empowering other women to do the same.”

Your donation is not just helping women build businesses. It’s helping them break barriers, defy expectations, and show the world what’s possible when women are truly given a chance.

Thank you for being part of Inas’s journey. Together, we are building a future where women rise—not just for themselves, but for generations to come.
