Thank so much EACH of YOU, our dear donors!
Let me report that donations received by our foundation up today help us to cover four operative fetoscopies. Six babies from three operated ladies are already born alive. But one newborn, unfortunately, died in early neonatal period :(
Other five babies are healthy - you can see happy families with children on attached photos.
Your donations also help to provide free of charge forth operative fetoscopy for family of doctors (let me explain here for foreigners that medics in Ukraine usually are not belong to wealthy people :) in case of early (at 16 weeks!) manifested Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome, 2d stage, after one ectopic pregnancy and one misscarriage. Look attached photos after fetoscopy. Today pregnancy age is already 21 weeks and follow up is OK. Cross fingers together! ;)
I would like also to share a photo recently received of another twins after fetoscopy at 16 weeks of pregnancy with very similar situation. That fetoscopy was performed before our project started. Stay in line for brides! ;)
And let me inform something very interesting. When our project description had been preparing to post it on the GlobalGiving platform we wrote in part "Potential Long Term Impact": "Official Ukrainian authorities seems not to believe in such problems with twins and/or doubt about Ukrainian doctors ability to treat in-utero suffering twins. As a result they do not want to see this problem. ... We hope: this example will turn official health system toward the problem and to solution finding..." Today I am involved in "working group" of Ukrainian Ministry of Health Care to prepare official document concerning diagnostic and management of multiple pregnancies... ;)
It is also thanks to YOU!!! :)
With deep respect,
Oleksiy Solovyov
