We are pleased to report that this project is fully funded and complete.
The $7,627 tuition bill for 31 children to attend the New York International School was paid in full, in advance, qualifying CCHP for free uniforms, a savings of $5-15 per child.
This success included $1,250 donated to our Global Giving Tuition Sponsorship Project, including $437.50 in matching funds on June 16th. Several donors made monthly donations, so this sum will grow, sustaining the Tuition fund.
The children are so happy with their new school. Small class sizes, limited to 25, assure the kind of attention that will help them make up for the lack of educational opportunity in their villages. Most of our children are behind their age group in class assignment, e.g. 14 year olds in 4th grade. The quality of teaching at NYIS will be a great help in making up for lost time.
On behalf of these delightful and deserving children, all the Staff of CCHP and the Board of FOCC, we extend our deepest gratitude. These donations continue to give all through the year as our children study and learn and grow!
