Dear Friends,
I hope you are doing well and that the new year is starting out with good health and balance in your life.
Believing you can help make a change in the world is one of the most empowering feelings. TB Photovoice has been living off this feeling since 2006! We know we can help give a voice to people impacted by TB so that they in turn can educate their communities about the challenges and assets they have to eliminate this disease. We know that our strategies for doing this work are innovative and result in transformed individuals, families and communities. We believe.
The new year has been a busy one as we create a TB photovoice project in the city of Nakuru with our Kenyan partners at KANCO. They have been working to lay the framework for this project by selecting advisory members who will help to promote the project once the participants have taken all of their pictures and written their stories. Our facilitator Alice has been speaking with persons impacted by TB who have shown an interest in participating, providing them information about how their involvement will help inform others about TB.
Our February goal is to raise $1,000 to ensure all of the costs of the project are secure. If all of our GlobalGiving donors reached out today with a donation of $50, we would be well on our way to implementing the newest TB Photovoice project! We believe you can help us make a difference!
We now have a great magazine for you that you can share with your friends! Our new TB Photovoice online magazine will keep you up to date with all of our successes and plans for the future.
Thank you for believing in TB Photovoice.
Sincerely,
Teresa Rugg
