Full Steam Ahead: Making Nakuru, Kenya a Reality

"I am proud of the progress we are making to ensure that Nakuru Tb photovoice kicks off in 2015. I also thank KANCO for the great effort and support they have offered so far and I am hopeful that we will work together and achieve the desired objectives."

Alice, TB Photovoice- Nakuru, Kenya Facilitator

Dear TB Photovoice Friends,

We did it! We have signed an agreement with KANCO, based in Nairobi, Kenya to move forward with the TB Photovoice group in the city of Nakuru! Alice Opiyo, our Nakuru facilitator has been graciously volunteering her time to recruit and contact participants who expressed in interest in the TB Photovoice two years ago. We are determined to launch this project at the start of 2015 with you help. The excitement is palpable and the urgency for leveraging the funds to implement this project is real!

The total cost of the Nakuru TB project is $5,000, one of the most affordable, efficiently run, community based projects around! Our ultimate goal is to secure full funding by the end of December. You and your connections can make this happen! Spread the word to your network of friends that TB Photovoice is on the cusp of something big !

We set an October goal of raising $1,000 and we reached this milestone, thanks to donations both big and small from our TB Photovoice family. We have set a November goal of raising $2,000 and you can help to chip away to this obtainable vision.

If all of our GlobalGiving donors reached out today with a donation of $50, we would be well on our way to implementing the newest TB Photovoice project! We are grateful to receive a donation that you know is right for you.

Thank you for your continued support and encouragement,

Sincerely,

Teresa Rugg
