Create a TB Photovoice project in Kenya

Happy new year friends of TB Photovoice,

Thank you all for your tremendous support during the past year.  It is your kindness and compassion that allows TB Photovoice to do the work that raises the voices of persons affected by tuberculosis around the globe.

This past year we had many accomplishments that we are proud of as a new and small, but mighty, nonprofit!  Here are just a few highlights: 

• With the incredible talents of website builder/designer Jose Sosa of Marysville, Washington, we launched our new website www.tbphotovoice.org.  We continue to update the site and are using more social networking tools to keep in touch with the TB community.  
• TB Photovoice partnered with TB ACTION Group of Kenya for a week training on the photovoice method.  The intention of the TB ACTION Group is to implement a TB photovoice project in the city of Nakuru.  They have recruited their participants and are awaiting resources from another partner organization.  We are confident that 2012 will foster in a successful group in Nakuru. Thank you all for providing the resources to make this training possible!
• Our TB Photovoice Board of Directors began the process of creating a solid strategic plan for our organization. The plan is in its final stages and you will see more about this in the coming weeks on our website.
• Relationship building has always been a strength for our organization.  We continue to network with TB organizations from around the world, learning from their experiences and sharing our insights.  

We are looking forward to sharing more good news during 2012 and those successes are your successes!  Thank you for being an integral part of TB Photovoice.
