Racehorses all too often fall victim to unknown futures once their racing careers end. The T.R.O.T.T.E.R. Program at Riding Star Ranch is a place where these horses are loved, rehabilitated, re-trained and given a second chance in life.
Upon arrival, each horse is evaluated for emotional and physical health and training goals are set according to their personality, age and any physical limitations they may have. We currently have retired Standardbreds in training for pleasure driving, trail riding, trick riding, roman riding, team driving, dinner show acts and for therapy animals.
The fininsh line is just the beginning for these beautiful animals. They are kind hearted, loyal, patient and love human interaction. The cost of caring for one horse averages about $3,600 annually, but can be more if they have injuries that need medical care or therapy. We rely on generous, caring people like you to help us make it all possible.
The T.R.O.T.T.E.R. program is making huge strides in helping these animals find safe & happy forever homes and we are so thankful for each and every donor who supports this program. We would like to invite each and every one of you to come to the ranch for a visit to watch a training session and meet these beautiful animals in person. You can reach us at 386-848-7953 or 386-848-1242.
