By Pinar Ozyurek | Donor Relations Lead
Dear TPF Donors,
Eight months have passed since the devastating earthquakes shook Southeast Türkiye. As we pause to reflect on the journey, we want to acknowledge the vast strides we have made together in healing, rebuilding, and planning for a resilient future.
The initial phase of our response, fueled by the generous support we received from our community in the US and globally, enabled us to provide immediate aid and grant $9.4M to 65+ TPF-Vetted Partner Organizations, directly impacting over 1.7 million people in need in the first six month of the disasters. And, for that, we remain immensely grateful to our community. Our swift action demonstrated the power of unity and the strength of the human spirit, even in the face of adversity.
Our progress gives us hope. Yet, we acknowledge the journey ahead is long, and our commitment to these communities must remain unwavering. The path to true recovery goes beyond immediate relief and calls for long-term solutions that encourage resilience and growth.
In recognition of this, our long-term strategy will prioritize addressing the profound psychosocial needs, stimulating economic development, prioritizing both traditional and life skills in education, and supporting children with disabilities.
In our 6th Month Impact Report, you will find details of our work over the past six months, including a comprehensive breakdown of fund utilization and future plans.
We trust this report will offer insight into the depth and breadth of our initiatives and our shared commitment to helping these communities rise again.
Thank you for standing with us, your trust in TPF, and your continued support as we walk this journey toward recovery and resilience.
With gratitude,
Team TPF
