At PAN Miraflores Foster Center in Medellin, Colombia, 50 children and teenagers who have experienced abuse, neglect, or violations of their rights receive protection, education, nutritious meals, and professional care. This project will create three spaces to support their healing and growth: a Calm Room, a Learning Library, and an Outdoor Classroom. Together, these spaces will foster emotional well-being, learning, and brighter opportunities for the future.
At PAN Miraflores Foster Center, Colombia, 50 children and teenagers recovering from abuse, neglect, or other rights violations receive protection and care. We take care of them with much love an professionalism, byt there's a lack of dedicated spaces to support emotional healing, learning, and recreation. Without environments designed for therapy, creativity, and play, they miss daily opportunities to strengthen their well-being, build resilience, and develop the skills they need to thrive.
This project will create three permanent spaces: a Calm Room for emotional regulation and therapy, a Learning Library to encourage reading, creativity, and play, and an Outdoor Classroom that promotes learning through nature and collaboration. These safe and engaging environments will become part of the children's daily lives, supporting their education, and healthy development.
This project will benefit nearly 100 children and teenagers each year while creating lasting spaces that will serve many more in the future. By strengthening emotional well-being, learning, creativity, and social skills, these environments will help children heal, rebuild confidence, and develop the tools they need to achieve greater independence and create brighter futures.
