Reporte Junio 2026
This quarter was a period marked by learning, talent, and community unity. PASO made strides in robotics, the environment, music, and the arts.
Music: The Jaime García Cuéllar Symphony School celebrated a period of musical growth in its introductory programs, children's and youth bands, guitar, and piano classes.
The youngest students strengthened their rhythmic reading and coordination; the children's band progressed in breath control, mouthpiece technique, and their first piece; the youth band consolidated their reading skills, scales, and traditional rhythms. The guitarists improved their performance and musical analysis, and the Pianists strengthened their sight-reading, coordination, and the Thompson method.
A two-month period of commitment, progress, and PASO community spirit—all in perfect harmony.
Robotics: Over the course of five sessions, our Youth Band students explored robotics, progressing from the basics to creating their own projects.
They learned to assemble ECOSONIDO circuits and work with Arduino Nano boards, sensors, and actuators, while also exercising their creativity through structural challenges.
These activities strengthened their critical thinking, teamwork, and confidence in their abilities. In the final session, they showcased their progress, demonstrating growing mastery, enthusiasm, and the educational impact of the process.
Environmental Education: We strengthened environmental education through cleanup, pruning, and planting events that beautified Panorama and reinforced civic values.
The PASO community, together with students and families, planted *maíz tostado* trees and took responsibility for their care through a "sponsor" program, leaving a legacy of unity, hope, and commitment to our Common Home.
PASO participants to discover the region's natural wealth with talks led by the CAM (Upper Magdalena Regional Autonomous Corporation). They learned about epiphytes and their adaptations, recognized the diversity of amphibians in Huila and their ecological importance, and explored the world of bees—their social organization and their role in pollination. Each workshop featured engaging activities that reinforced learning and motivated students to care for biodiversity and protect their environment.
Reading and theater This term, students and staff organized the production of The Little Prince and Peter Pan.
Our children explored fantasy worlds, strengthened their self-esteem, and discovered the power of creating from the heart. Each rehearsal was a journey of imagination, discipline, and joy that nurtured their voices and confidence. Students showed lots of enthusiams and love the plays and the stories
