Transforming Education with Technology in Tanzania

Africa Exchange Project continues to work to increase the availability and use of computers and imprive access to digital learning and healthcare in Pomerini, Tanzania.

We continue to seek funds for a further 40 computers to ensure even more students have access to computers and are given an opportunity to strengthen their digital understanding and digital learning opportunities.

To date in 2026, we have already provided funds for:

• The purchase of 5 laptops and a projector for Pomerinin Primary School.
• Digital training for 12 Primary School teachers, including the Special Education Unit.
• The purcahse of 5 laptops and a projector for Pomerini Secondary School
• Digital training for 12 Secondary School Teachers.
•  Establishing ICT Committees at both schools to govern and encourage the use of laptops for leanring and advancement.

We remain committed to further transforming the learning environment for students, increase learning and training opportunities for teachers and health workers, and help to develop the computer skills essential to their future success and their participation in Tanzania's transformation from a predominantly agricultural, rural society to a more diversified modern, multi-sector economy.
