Africa Exchange Project is equipping the primary and secondary schools in Pomerini, Tanzania with 40 computers, to dramatically improve students' access to the vast library of over 50,000 digital textbooks now freely available to primary and secondary school students in rural Tanzania.
Following setting the primary and secondary schools with internet access and providing six refurbished Microsift Surface laptops, we have been seeing greater engagement from the special needs students.
We are have secured five refurbished Apple Air laptops which we will be delivering to the village when we visit in September 2025.
We remain in need fo financial support for the other laptops the schools require, so that we can transform the learning environment for students, increase learning and training opportunities for teachers, and help to prepare students for their future by enabling them to develop the computer skills essential to their future success and their participation in Tanzania's transformation from a predominantly agricultural, rural society to a more diversified modern, multi-sector economy.
