SA Training with Business Leaders in Nepal

This report is an accounting of the initial SA training that helped build the relationship between Nepal Cloth Merchant and Tailoring Association (NCMTA) and ICA Nepal.  There were 71 NCMTA members who participated in the training at the Shiva Village Commuinty Hall, Kawasaoti, Nawalparasi district, Nepal.

•This report highlights in brief the overall activities conducted during the Social Artistry Training conducted in Nawal Parasi district through the support of ICA Nepal. 
•The project is built around the partnership between NCMTA Nepal and ICA Nepal with an aim to deliver overall leadership quality to the members of the NCMTA
•The reports highlights the way forward and recommendations regarding the partnership between NCMTA and ICA and its impact on the beneficiary group.
Purpose and Role of NCMT:
•Nepal Cloth Merchant and Tailoring Association (NCMTA) is a registered non government commodity association established in 1995.
•NCMTA aims to organize all the cloth and tailoring entrepreneurs throughout the nation  with in an umbrella organization.
•NCMTA aims to develop the overall social, economical  and psychological aspects of cloth and tailoring  entrepreneurs .
•NCMTA  specifically is focusing on the overall  development of tailoring professionals( traditionally associated with tailoring profession) socially and economically marginalized as secluded caste in the society.
•NCMTA to accomplish its objectives of empowering cloth and tailoring entrepreneurs organizes business skills, vocational skills, leadership skills and social and interpersonal skills through the support of various non government, government ,charitable and professional organizations.
•NCMTA  has 40 district committees and aims to expand through out the 75 district of Nepal.
Some Objectives for the Training:
•Enable trainees to realize their innate personal qualities
•Develop self esteem subject to achieving personal and organizational goals
•Enable trainees to understand the complex social structures based on diverse social, cultural, geographic and traditional values
•Enhance the ability to identify themselves in such a complex group and enable them to understand their responsibility for personal and social transformation.
Results of the Training:
•The SA training program overall enabled the trainees to be aware of their role in the community and in an organization regarding the capacity they already possess within themselves.
• Trainees realized the diversity of social thoughts and thoughts of the generation and groups they live in and could determine to act accordingly for the harmonious decisionmaking within the group
•Trainees were spellbound throughout the 2-day program due to the training that focused into their inner consciousness, the strength of the sensory organs and its proper utilization for decisionmaking, leadership and moving forward in every aspect of life.
Planning to Move Forward:
•Accomplishment of this program is just the beginning for NCMTA and ICA partnership since NCMTA has incalculably realized the positive impact of the SA program for its members for them to grow psychologically, socially and economically.
•NCMTA and ICA shall focus on the delivery of at least a 3-day SA program to each of its 40 districts of the Nation.
•The SA Training for Trainers (TOT) shall be organized for the active executive central members and to the district level executive members of the NCMTA. This shall expand the delivery of SA more effectively and cost effectively. 
•A well planned one-year SA program delivery schedule shall be prepared for effective moving forward in rendering the SA leadership training to NCMTA members.
