This project aims to reduce educational disparities for vulnerable students by providing them with vital educational support from preschool to university. These students will receive the necessary schooling tools they need to excel in their studies, including tuition, school supplies, solar lamps, financial support for their parents, and diversified vocational training for young people. Thanks to this comprehensive assistance, they will be better equipped to become citizen leaders.
In Anse-Rouge, many students face enormous challenges of educational exclusion. Alarming statistics reveal that one-fifth of children aged 6 to 13 are not in school, one-third of young people aged 14 to 17 have not been able to continue their studies, and some, after completing secondary school, cannot attend university due to lack of financial means. It is crucial to address this urgent problem, aligning with the goals of becoming citizens who will lead future change in communities.
Through this project, AJIDIA will facilitate school inclusion and then provide students with the necessary tools that can enable them to go to school such as: tuition fees; school supplies; solar lamps to be able to study and work; financial support for their parents to carry out income-generating activities that can meet basic needs and diversified vocational training for young people in order to give them skills for wealth creation. These efforts reduce the illiteracy and school dropout rate.
Our project is not just a short-term solution; it is a profound and lasting investment in the future. By providing quality educational opportunities to children and young people, we equip them with the tools to escape poverty and become independent and enlightened leaders. This enables them to make significant contributions to their families, communities, nation, and the world. Education reduces poverty and brings lasting empowerment and definite change.
