By Amy Ostroff | President, Love to Langa
Love to Langa has previously sponsored several teacher training programs. Unfortunately, we have not attracted enough donors to fully support trainings in the past few months, so we have continued to support the effort the best we can by supplying USBs to the teachers who participate. Our board member and project manager, Kissmea, also works with a Cape Town-based NGO named Starting Chance Trust and they have been offering computer trainings that have been very successful.
The link below to our Facebook page will take you to a short video showing a Starting Chance field worker named Nombulela, who expresses her thanks for the opportunity of the computer training and how it has helped her. She tells how she used to avoid computers and how "now that I've started the training, it has helped me a lot... now I'm an awesome person!"
Love to Langa supplied Nombuleka and all the teachers who have reached Level 2 with USBs for them to save their work and keep.
