Tomorrow the day!
Tomorrow we are bringing together over 50 Strong Mamas to start their training. The group have developed their own training program, budget and goals. They've even budgeted in a creche worker to ensure they're not distracted while learning.
The training course will last 16 weeks, after which, the team will mobilise and begin outreach in their local community. The outreach is designed to educate expecting mothers on pre and post natal concerns, the importance of hospital visits, and where to find supports.
Our next report is going to be an exciting one! Why? Because, as Benjamin Franklin said, tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn. Such wise words have underpinned this project and ensured complete community ownership. Help us continue to be the vessel enabling beautiful inclusion and growth.
