One of the main functions of our ministry partner's work through the Sebaco training center is training local villagers who are interested in running a successful business. With an average unemployment and underemployment rate of nearly 70% in rural areas, running a small business is most people's only option aside from subsistence farming. Since the beginning of the year, we have been offering business training once a month in a wide variety of topics such as:
On average between 12-16 people come for the monthly business training seminars. Most participants travel at least 1.5 hours and some more than 6 hours from very remote villages for the training! We are thankful for Ana Julia Orozco who has taken on the role of training these leaders. Ana Julia is in her senior year in college and is studying Business Administration. We look forward to supporting Ana Julia in her role and these small business owners as their newfound enterprises flourish!
