One of the great highlights of the year for SACT students is the opportunity to pay it forward on Mandela Day and this year was no exception!
On the 18th of July the students dedicated their 67 minutes to Camdeboo Hospice Drop-in Centre where they assisted the staff to receive day-visitors and seat them at already set and decorated tables (prepared by students). Once everyone was seated comfortably, the students then served their own home-made vegetable soup and breads to a total of 40 elderly visitors.
Spending time with these special residents of Graaff-Reinet was a wonderful opportunity for students see what a difference they can make with the skills they have learnt at the College. Even the smallest gesture can brighten someone’s day. Here’s to making every day a Mandela day!
