Training 1,500 Women Entrepreneurs in Pakistan

During this quarter, Moqah Foundation continued its commitment to empowering underserved women through practical vocational skills and livelihood opportunities. The quarter marked an important milestone with the successful completion of the fifth batch of vocational training, benefiting women from underserved communities.

Completion of Fifth Batch of Vocational Training

The fifth batch of vocational training has been successfully completed, with women receiving hands-on training designed to build practical and marketable skills. The program focused on strengthening participants' ability to use their skills for home-based income generation, employment, or small-scale enterprise.

For many women in underserved rural communities, access to skills training can be a first step toward greater economic participation.

• 80 women reached through the vocational training and related empowerment activities in this year

Upcoming Enterprise Development Training

As the next stage of the empowerment program, Moqah Foundation is preparing to conduct an Enterprise Development Training for underserved women in a rural area.

While vocational training equips women with technical skills, enterprise development will help participants understand how to turn those skills into viable livelihood opportunities. The training will focus on practical knowledge relevant to women who may wish to start small businesses from home or within their communities.

The planned training will cover areas such as:

• Identifying feasible small-business opportunities
• Basic business planning
• Understanding customers and local markets
• Pricing products and calculating costs
• Basic financial management and record keeping
• Customer service and marketing
• Building confidence to start or expand an enterprise
• Exploring home-based and community-based income opportunities

The rural setting is particularly important because many women face barriers to formal employment, including limited mobility, lack of local employment opportunities, and limited access to business knowledge and networks. Enterprise development training can provide practical tools that women can apply within the realities of their own communities.

The Foundation's approach is designed to create a progression from learning a skill → developing confidence → understanding enterprise → generating income.
