Train 50 women teachers in Uganda to educate 1000s

Dear Teachers for Rural Future Supporters,

Your generous donations to the Graduate Women International (GWI) Teachers for Rural Futures project are greatly appreciated. The contributions create opportunities for our female student teachers to gain an education and serve as education role models for girls in their hometowns.

With your charitable contributions, three students will soon begin their important student-teacher practice. Each student has been accepted to participate in a 3-month student-teacher training this summer in their rural community in Uganda. The students are very appreciative of this opportunity, and they are very excited!

"Being under the Teachers for Rural Futures programme has greatly helped me develop physically, socially, morally, spiritually and academically and has it has exposed to the world since you are paying me to attend in the leading university in East Africa", wrote one student recently. 

In addition to affording our female student teachers the opportunity to participate in student-teacher practice, the kind contributions from our donors provide our teachers with the necessities of education. As example, monthly donations of:

$25 dollars may apply towards monthly menstrual hygiene supplies.

$50 dollars may apply towards monthly accommodations.

$60 dollars may apply towards tuition for one student teacher for one month.

$300 dollars may apply towards a stipend for two months.
