This project aims to strengthen the quality of care in the elderly residences of Fundacion Bringas-Haghenbeck (FBH) by providing five team members with specialized training through the Master's in Integrated Person-Centered Care, offered by the University of Central Catalonia (Spain). This training will introduce international care models that promote dignity, respect, and personalized support for older adults and people with disabilities.
Staff providing care in elderly residences face major challenges in delivering high-quality, respectful, and person-centered support. Despite their dedication and experience, there is a gap in specialized training aligned with updated international standards.
By funding five FBH professionals to enroll in the Master's program in Person-Centered Care, the project will integrate new methodological, ethical, and practical tools to transform both direct care and the overall management approach in our residences. This will foster a more human, individualized, and rights-based model for elderly care.
This specialized training will raise the quality of care across FBH's four elderly residences, directly benefiting over 300 older adults annually. The knowledge gained will be shared internally, amplifying the impact across the caregiving team. It will also help position FBH as a leader in person-centered care models in Mexico and Latin America.
