At Fundación Corazón Raíz, we continue strengthening our program to train 250 primary school teachers who work in rural and Indigenous schools across Zongolica, Veracruz.
As part of our ongoing Teacher Training Forum, we are preparing to launch the remaining sessions focused on neuroeducation and social–emotional development, two key areas that have become essential with the implementation of Mexico’s new national education model. These workshops will help teachers better understand how children learn, create safer learning environments, and support students academically and emotionally through this evolving paradigm.
Due to limited financial resources in recent months, several training sessions had to be rescheduled. However, this has not stopped our commitment to teacher development.
At the start of the year, we secured a new partnership with the incoming municipal administration and the regional school supervisors, aligning priorities and resources to ensure that the remaining sessions can be delivered with a stronger, more sustainable structure.
Multiplying impact
Investing in a teacher means transforming an entire classroom.
For every teacher trained, an estimated 20 students gain access to a more relevant, inclusive, and emotionally supportive education.
This means that by training 250 teachers, our program can indirectly reach more than 5,000 children every school year.
Our mission remains clear: strengthen the educational ecosystem from within communities, empowering those who inspire, guide, and accompany the dreams and learning of rural and Indigenous children.
