Train 40 Community Leaders to End Child Marriage

The “Train 40 Community Leaders to End Child Marriage” project by Elite Star Foundation is designed to train and equip 40 respected community leaders across 20 high-risk communities with the knowledge and tools needed to prevent child marriage, protect girls, promote education, and influence positive changes in harmful social norms. The project has a total fundraising goal of $25,000, with $25,000 still remaining and only 1 donor recorded, meaning no funds have currently been raised toward implementation.

From a financial perspective, the project is therefore at an early stage and requires significant donor support before planned activities can be fully implemented. Funding will support leadership training, advocacy resources, community dialogues, identification and protection of girls at risk, and other activities across the targeted communities. Despite the current funding gap, the project has a clear and sustainable approach because trained leaders will continue serving as community advocates beyond the initial intervention. With adequate funding, the project can strengthen local leadership, challenge harmful practices, and contribute to safer childhoods and improved educational opportunities for girls.
