Project Report | May 2, 2026
Our 2 abandoned antelope is flourishing

By Riana van Nieuwenhuizen | Founder

Kenia and Nairobi

The first call was about the newborn sable baby that was found outside the farm next to the busy road.  There was no mum near her and we knew that we had to take care of her.  She struggled to take the bottle at first, but then she was used to her human caretakers and were very eager to drink.  We got another call about a little blesbok baby that was abandoned when they moved the herd.  It was an 5 hour drive to fetch her.  She was small and needed help.  Another struggle hour by hour for a few days, but she is doing good and see Kenia the little Sable as the best companion, follow her everywhere and love the bigger camp we moved them to.  Both of them still on bottle but love to eat bits of grass.
