Dear donors and friends,
GlobalGiving has chosen PPAF to participate in its Climate Action Campaign, next Monday morning April 19 through Friday evening April 23. All gifts of up to $100 will be fully matched, with a ceiling of $2,000 per organization. Each gift must be from a separately identifiable donor.
PPAF aims to raise $2,000, so as to obtain $2,000 in matching funds, for a total of $4,000. With this we will strengthen our collaboration with Haitian and other colleagues at three sites – the solar cooking and biodigester/biogas course at the University Notre Dame d’Haiti at Hinche, the solar cooking classes for low-income kids at the Art Creation Foundation for Children in Jacmel, and the solar cooking and biodigester/biogas components of the new community center in Cotes de Fer.
The work is important and innovative. It uses free fuel from the sun and from organic waste. It helps break the grip of dependence by most Haitian families on charcoal for cooking, and it turns waste materials into fertilizer for vegetables and fruit trees. You can read more in our recent 16th report. You can see many photos on our website at Gallery (ppafoundation.org).
The Climate Action Campaign aims to raise local voices for global impact. Please join us with a gift of $100, or as much as you can, at our project's Donate button.
