DONATION REPORT FROM 1^st JUNE-19^th SEPTEMBER  2023

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

Township Foundation Education Centre management acknowledges with great honor the receipt of a donation worth $22,500.00from Fidelity Charitable - Wilson Family Giving Account driven through GlobalGiving fundraiser platform. The funds exclusively supported our feeding program in the Center at a time we had a serious food shortage due to high cost of living which saw the price of a 2kg pack of maize rise from  $1 to $2.This made us deplete all our resources including the $4000 which was reserved to kick off the storey building project. We thank the Wilson family for their deep understanding and immediate support when we reached out. We cannot forget to mention the Nike employees through Daniela from which we received earlier reserved $4000 as we had indicated in an earlier report.

We admit that without these, TFEC kids would have faced starvation. Thank you for being there for us; your donations have indeed changed lives of our children and community at large

 We Township Foundation Education Centre do register our gratitude to the Nike employees via Benevity and individual donors for the support they continually give to our children and to the community at large. We truly recognize and appreciate the GlobalGiving for giving us the fundraising platform. The support we receive is greatly changing the lives of our young ones; they enjoy and appreciate.

THE WATER PROJECT

As was indicated earlier the water project came to a completion by 30^th June 2023.We really appreciate the Nike employees for the support championed by Daniela. We send lots of love and can’t say more.

CHALLENGE MET

In the month of August 2023 we met a serious challenge with this water project. Lightning and thunder struck the electricity meter supplying the water pump in the borehole destroying the entire power supplying system. This has made the project to stop working which requires repair.

The Kenya Power and Lighting Company- advised us to install lighting arrestors in the system to curb such an occurrence in future. This together with the repairs will cost about kshs.600, 000 ($4,300)

TERM 2-2023 ACADEMIC PROGRESS REPORT

We have a total of 16 students under sponsorship in 10 Kenyan secondary schools courtesy of Nike employees led by Daniela. We really appreciate them. Without their support the students would not step in a secondary school. THANK YOU SO MUCH.

APPRECIATION AND ACHIEVEMENTS

We Township Foundation Education Centre do register our gratitude to the Nike employees via Benevity and individual donors for the support they continually give to our children and to the community at large. The support we got is greatly changing the lives of our young ones; they are able to enjoy and appreciate the good food and live in a clean environment. The classrooms have reduced the congestion in school and greatly improved hygiene.

ANALYSIS OF FUNDS UTILIZATION

1)     Farming  We leased 10 acre piece of land and maize and beans were planted on it waiting for harvesting by August 2023.

2)    The  borehole?

The borehole is progressing well. We are through with water drilling part and we have done a 24 hour test pumping of water and this was very successful.

This was done to determine the type of pump that will be installed. Borehole casing, pump installations are done, borehole cover already put, pump controller and switch board installed and water tanks

And the high school?

The high school is ongoing. We have a population of 35 students in grade 7and everything is going on well though with some challenges.

THE FACE OF TFEC JUNIOR  HIGH SCHOOL

The three classrooms are done as shown above and are under use except we couldn’t manage to paint and install electricity due to high cost of construction currently experienced in Kenya

3)     Ground floor project

We have started work with the preparation of the deformed metal bars as shown below. The construction materials are already in school as shown below.

The secondary school sponsorship program is ongoing. First and second term school fees already paid.
